Is the oil filter replaced every time a 2024 Kia Carnival has its oil changed? An oil filter is replaced with the oil during an oil and filter service for the 2024 Kia Carnival.

The filter collects debris carried by the engine oil and can load over time. When it loads, the bypass valve opens and unfiltered oil circulates, so replacing the filter avoids stretching one filter across two oil changes. The manufacturer's schedule and the vehicle's service history determine the broader maintenance timing.

  • Filter matched to the 3.5-liter V6
  • Oil service performed together
  • Leak check after the engine runs
What is included in an oil filter replacement on a 2024 Kia Carnival? The service includes an engine-matched filter, a new drain plug gasket or washer where applicable, and a post-service leak check.

The filter is selected for the 2024 Kia Carnival's engine specification. The sealing item is renewed where the engine uses one, and the engine is run afterward so the filter seal can be inspected for leaks. Booking also gets the filter replaced alongside the oil.

  • Correct filter for the fitted engine
  • New gasket or washer where used
  • Inspection around the filter seal
What happens if the oil filter on a 2024 Kia Carnival is not replaced?A loaded filter can open its bypass valve, allowing oil to circulate without being filtered.

The engine still receives oil, but it no longer receives the same filtration protection. Debris remains in circulation rather than being held by a fresh filter. An oil-pressure warning, a noisier-than-usual engine, or oil that darkens quickly after a change can be reasons to arrange an inspection.

  • Filter debris-holding capacity can become loaded
  • Unfiltered oil may circulate
  • Inspection can consider service history and symptoms
Does a 2024 Kia Carnival need a specific oil filter?Yes, the filter must be matched to the 2024 Kia Carnival's 3.5-liter, 3,470 cc V6 engine.

Filters are not interchangeable across engines simply because they look similar. Matching the filter to the engine specification supports proper fit and sealing during service. The oil grade the manufacturer specifies for this engine is a separate maintenance consideration and should be followed during the oil change.

  • 3.5-liter V6 engine
  • 3,470 cc displacement
  • Engine-matched filter installation
Can the oil be changed on a 2024 Kia Carnival without changing the filter? The oil can be changed separately, but an oil and filter service replaces the filter alongside the oil.

Keeping an old filter in service allows debris to continue accumulating in it. Once the filter loads, its bypass valve opens and unfiltered oil circulates. The manufacturer's maintenance schedule, an inspection, and the vehicle's service history help determine the appropriate service for a particular 2024 Kia Carnival.

  • Filter holds debris from circulating oil
  • Loaded filters can trigger bypass operation
  • Service history helps guide maintenance decisions
